A Cipher solution for iPhoneTM.

mobilEEnigma is a application to safely cipher or encrypt any plain text typed in iPhone device.

With mobilEEnigma, this is very easy to do: just type in your plain text, select a secret password or passphrase then, by pressing the Cipher menu option, the plain text will be ciphered and copied to the device's memory, ready to be pasted into another application like SMS, email, notes, etc...

To decipher the ciphered text, copy it to the device's memory from the application used, then start mobilEEnigma, type the secret password or passphrase used to cipher the original plain text, select the Decipher menu option, and your plain text will appear in the editor.

Here are the detailed instructions

1. Type your plain Text
2. Enter a secret password or passphrase
3. Cipher it (Your cipher text will be copied into shared memory device for you)
4. Paste the cipher text with any application in your device
5. Touch Contact button to use your contact list or to Cipher them.

The plain text area is where you type in your plain text, or copy it.

At the bottom of the screen you will find the password or the passphrase entry that you have to type.

The bottom menu bar is where you will find different options, Cipher, Decipher, Contacts and Email.

Just like any text editor, you may type as much plain text as you want. If you need to type a very long text, we suggest using officEEnigma directly from your Desktop. We also provide an online version called: onlinEEnigma. This version provides the cipher tools directly from your Browser.

When you have finished to edit your plain text, hit Done button it will bring you to the next step, password or passphrase entry.

Select a secret password or passphrase. (Use any combination of text, digits, symbols or spaces with a length limit of 256 characters.)

The key to cipher security is a unique key that only you select. Using a passphrase may provide superior security than a small password.

We suggest that you take your time deciding the best password or passphrase for your purposes.

Please note, there is no functionality to save the password or passphrase in your device.

After you have finished typing your text and have selected a secret password or passphrase, just use the Cipher menu option and mobilEEnigma will cipher your plain text and copy it for you to the device memory.

At this point, the cipher text is already copied to the device's memory and is ready to be pasted to any application such as email, SMS, notes, etc...

You may use the Email menu option to launch the email application of your device and automatically add the Cipher text in your email body.

By touching the button Contact you may select any contact to use their email address to send the Cipher text.

When the Contact as been Ciphered, it will be list in Engima section with a red color.

To Cipher, Decipher or view details of a contact touch the blue arrow button.

By using the 'E' button the information can be Cipher or Decipher. A Cipher will appear encrypt in the iPhone Contact list.

Emails, phones and addresses can be touch to launch a new call in case of the phone number, googles maps for addresses and return to message editor for emails addresses.

The note field can be edit inside mobilEEnigma for Cipher or Plain contacts, the edited note will be automatically encrypt using the encryption key provide in the the first screen of mobilEEnigma.

To Decipher just select the ciphered text inside the application in use, copy it to the device's memory, start mobilEEnigma, then enter the secret password or passphrase previously used to cipher the original text.
Then, select the Decipher menu option and the cipher text will be deciphered and pasted to the plain text section.

After reading your plain message text, clear any field by using the Clear menu option.

By using the Decipher menu option, no plain text is copied to shared memory. The plain text must be manually pasted to another application.

To encrypt any plain contact, simply use the Contacts button to show the Contacts List.

It's important to always use the Passphrase or password you wish to use for Contacts ciphering. You may use different password or passphrase for different contacts.

Select a plain contact from the list by touching the blue arrow.

This view is the contact plain view. This view can be use only to view the contact information and only the Note field can be added or modified.

By touching the light grey 'E', the contact will be ciphered using the passphrase or password provide in the first view.

Here the list of field supported:

- First name, middle name and last name
- Prefix, suffix
- Nickname
- Organisation, dept. and job title
- Note
- Emails
- Phones
- Addresses

When the 'E' has been touch, a message box will be shown to confirm the Cipher action.

By selecting 'Yes', the information will be ciphered using the password or passphrase selected in the first application view.

After Ciphering has occured, the Light Gray 'E', will become a 'E' red, that will mean the contact has been ciphered.

To decypher a contact, simply touch the red 'E'.

When ciphering or viewing the Contact iformation is done, touching the red 'X' will return to the contacts list view.

After successfully ciphering a contact, it will be shown in the Enigma section in red.
